Parts Sales
The Parts Sales rep is responsible for building strong relationships with customers to determine replacement parts required according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, and/or customers' descriptions of malfunctions. Also responsible for creating solutions, growing market share, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction with new and existing customers by offering high-quality parts at competitive prices.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Travel (approximately 15%) to companies and businesses to sell parts for industrial equipment for mechanical uses.
• Check existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products.
• Perform product demonstrations and application support.
• Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone.
• Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Service department installation and test-operation of parts or repairs as needed.
• Recommend solutions to product-related problems.
• Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
• Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.
• Review daily sales reports and completes administrative tasks accurately and on time
*May be required to deliver/ pick up parts from customers' sites
• Review monthly the best monitoring sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met
• Follows policies and procedures; supports company's goals and values
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Certificate or Equivalent Work Experience
• Ability to negotiate pricing while achieving revenue and profit goals
• Must be able to guard confidential information on pricing, products, etc.
• Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects by utilizing a data-driven and detail-oriented approach.
• Analytical ability to prepare performance reports, cost/price analyses, and other performance measures.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Manages difficult or emotional customer situations with tact.
• Responds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve service
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.
• Possess ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.
