The Writer/Editor will assist with general reviewing, writing, editing, and researching duties. This is an entry-level position, though experience is preferred. The Writer/Editor edits biblical, scientific, theological, and historical articles, book chapters, and other content items to ensure the Answers in Genesis (AiG) positions are maintained. The current style guide is a variation of the Chicago Manual of Style with AiG-specific styles applied, while maintaining the author’s voice. This position will also require research in the library, Internet, and other forms of media, journals, books, etc. to acquire quotes and other information needed to ensure content accuracy and fact checking. Some writing will also be required.
This position will assist and report to the Manager of Special Projects. The position requires developing written content and reviewable written content through a review process, contractual process, coordinating with the content manager, editorial review board, a diverse team of content reviewers and editors to ensure the timeliness and integrity of the content. This position requires a person with editorial skills and at least a bachelor's degree—with a science or engineering field with experience in technical and laymen writing.
