The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) is looking for an Associate Director of Development for Philanthropic Programs to join us on our mission! Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Associate Director of Development for Philanthropic Programs will play a pivotal role in preparing the organization to launch the IONS50 Campaign, the first major campaign effort at IONS since its inception and conducted in celebration of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the organization in 2023. In addition to preparing the organization to launch and manage the IONS50 Campaign, this position will be managing other development campaigns as may be assigned including, but not limited to, our fiscal year-end and calendar year-end campaigns.
The overarching goal of this position is to bring critically needed campaign preparation and management to the organization. This position requires a proven history and measurable track record of major campaign development and project management. This position calls for the strategic blending of 1) recent and proven experience working on major multi-million dollar campaign efforts preferable in large non-profit or university settings with, 2) a sophisticated understanding of the inner workings of a comprehensive fundraising program, donor base expansion, and previous experience in leading development operations within the context of a major campaign drive, 3) an exceptionally high level of written, verbal and interrelationship communications skills, and 4) a strong collaboration skill set to work directly with other members of the IONS team while taking day to day direction from the Executive Director of Development. Experience with CRM data migration would be an asset.
In addition to a proven track record of major campaign development and project management, the successful candidate will have experience in annual giving and major gifts programs and will have managed staff and volunteers. The candidate will have experience in program management of multiple, simultaneous campaign events. Experience in campaign marketing design would be a plus.
Success in this position requires deep collaboration within IONS, multi-tasking and project management skills, and a strong professional presence to recruit, engage and lead campaign volunteers across various geographic locations around the globe. Given the impact of this critical position, the person selected will profoundly contribute to the success of this once-in-a-lifetime, historic campaign and will lay the important foundation needed for all future campaign success at IONS through their program design expertise.

Required Office Skills:
Experience with DonorPerfect or other CRM’s, Proficiency with Google Suite, PowerPoint and Excel. Salesforce experience, a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. CFRE and other fundraising certificates, a plus.
Note: We are open to this being a remote position but we will also require that the ADoD be physically in the IONS office for specified periods of time each month.
Pay and Benefits: This position is eligible for benefits. Salary range: $90k-$100k based upon prior proven campaign experience. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
