Part-time Health Science Online Faculty, Medical Terminology (online - remote)

Summary of Position:

South College seeks applicants who are knowledgeable about the following subject matter:

Medical Terminology

The course presents an anatomy and physiology approach to the study of medical terminology. Prefixes, suffixes, root words, combining forms, plural forms, and abbreviations are included in the content. A word-building system, phonetic pronunciation, and real-world applications are introduced. Emphasis is placed on vocabulary, spelling, procedures, and definitions.

Requirements

Candidates must show evidence of the following:

• A minimum of an acceptable master’s degree in the specific subject matter field (doctorate preferred) or an earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in subject matter field and

• Experience teaching similar courses at a higher education institute.  

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online.
