Description

The primary responsibilities for this position are overseeing all kit pack functions, shipping and receiving activities, and inventory cycle counting (98% accuracy goal) along with staff supervision. The responsibilities for Kit Packing include the assignment and inspection of kits for shipment and supervision of kit packers, while also working to complete kit packing individually. This role is expected to supervise completion of kits within an expected time frame and without error. The Shipping and Receiving responsibilities include ensuring all daily shipping goals are met and that the receiving process is completed within 24 hours. Cycle counting is a shared duty between all Logistics staff, including this role.


Duties and Responsibilities:

30% Kit Packing

o Assign kit manufacturing orders to insure timely completion.

o Individual completion of kit packing to support schedule.

o Kit inspection.

o Maintain data kit revisions.

o Communicate kit shortages per the Operations Agreement.

30% Shipping and Receiving

o Support all logistics needs for internal and external customers.

o Maintain relationships with shipping suppliers to ensure best pricing and service.

o Ensure shipping staff packages product sufficient to customer requirements/industry standards to prevent damage to product during delivery.

o Ability to work alongside shipping staff to ensure ship deadlines are met.

o Ensure receiving of inbound materials are counted, paperwork verified, and received into ERP system within 24 hours. 

o Maintain supplier incidence log for missing paperwork or other supplier issues.

o Maintain appropriate inventory levels of packaging materials and supplies. 

10% Cycle Count and Inventory Management

o Coordinate with other Logistics staff to count and clean areas as scheduled. 

o Accountable for driving to 98% or above inventory accuracy. 

o Support inventory integrity and continual improvement/maintenance of inventory integrity. 

25% Employee Management

o Mentor and train staff to maximize potential and according to training matrix. Also responsible for submittal of employee training records. 

o Monitor staff performance including performance reviews.

o Review and approve department time cards for payroll processing.

o Support overall ACC Logistics functions through cross-training staff to ship and receive, kit pack, and pull Orders for Sales, Manufacturing and MRO.

o Determine materials and staff needs to meet Logistics goals.

o Shift closing 1-2 nights per week.

o Understands and meets quality standards. Supports new ideas and helps to implement them. Recognize, initiate, and leads improvement activities.  

5% Other duties as assigned 

o Champion and follow all safety and regulatory requirements.


Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 3 years working in a parts pulling environment.

• Previous MRP/ Regulated environment experience preferred. 

• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

• Basic math skills. 

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

• Ability to write and execute department work instructions.

• Must have strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

• Ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and maintain cooperative working relationships.

• Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.

• Commitment to quality, safety, and ethical behavior.
