Construction Administrative Assistant
Description


Carbon Activated Corporation is seeking an Construction Administrative Assistant to play an important role in the expansion of our construction division. We are looking for someone with technical skills related to the construction of mechanical projects including reading specification and drawings in order to do submittals.  The job responsibilities will include submittals, change orders, RFIs, general computer skills, and handling subcontracts. We strongly prefer candidates that have roughly 1 to 5 years of experience working in the field of construction. Experience working with the City of Los Angeles and PLA (project labor agreements) is ideal. Experience with the e2020 platform is a big plus.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a small but very hard working team. 


Many of our construction projects are in the fascinating field of water quality infrastructure and air purification. You’ll be helping to keep our local communities’ air and water clean.  

The company is a leader is air and water filtration and there will be opportunities for advancement to those that show a passion for this type of work. Specifically, the immediate focus for this role will be a project to construction an odor control treatment system at the Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant in El Segundo, CA.


Compensation will be negotiated based on experienced. This is a full time position with full benefits.


Requirements

Willing and able to commute to Compton, CA

Public works construction experience, preferably with the the City of LA

Experience doing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other document control
