Description

The primary responsibilities of the Truth Traveler VR Coordinator(s) is to support the Truth Traveler VR Assistant Manager with daily operations. This position also contributes to the overall experience of guests at the Ark Encounter and is expected to interact well with visitors as well as other staff. A firm understanding of safety and procedural processes will be necessary to successfully direct and aid guests. Experience with the various technologies (HTC Vive VR headsets, operating systems) of virtual reality equipment is key to helping problem solve and create a fun, enjoyable experience. This individual should display our Core Values of SERVE when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion.


Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
  • Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done. 
  • Strong focus on guest experience. Always watchful for ways in which we can improve and give our guests the very best possible experience. 
  • Assist the Assistant Manager with scheduling of staffing needs for the attraction. 
  • Work with the Assistant Manager on crowd management needs. 
  • Comfortable working with technology (VR Headsets & Haptic Seats) 
  • Actively develop and maintain a work atmosphere that enhances the spiritual growth of all team members.
  • Set up and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, signing and promotions.
  • Build partnerships with other departments to ensure smooth operations and “one team” attitude.
  • And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
  • This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be a self-starter and be able to see jobs through to completion.
  • Must have a servant’s heart.

Education and Experience

  • Two years of related experience in a specialty retail environment that provides the required knowledge and ability to perform the above duties and responsibilities.
