International Traffic Coordinator

Responsible for coordinating all logistics for cargo shipments, as well as anticipating and planning for all of the details that will ensure successful delivery.

  • Develop and maintain a variety of stakeholder relationships including customers, warehouses, domestic carriers, air cargo, CFS/co-loader and steamship lines as necessary while ensuring avoidance of delays and storage fees.
  • Accurately quote inland deliveries for air, LCL and FCL shipments while maintaining carrier/drayage directories.
  • Ensure all documentation, tracking and tracing work is complete and compliant.
  • Track and trace shipments from origin location to final destination as well as communicate/advise clients on shipment status. Understand incoterms, Air/FCL-40’,20’/LCL/LCL, for various accounts for air cargo tracking, steamship lines, CFS/Co-loaders, etc.
  • Verify, pay and invoice all necessary fees (ISC, THC, exam, pier passes, etc.) upon arrival and confirm customs clearance.
  • Plan, prioritize and dispatch DOs correlating with various client account requirements; troubleshoot any issues timely and ensure communication.
  • Ensure all shipment files contain all necessary documents and that shipment archives are updated and complete. Create invoices with all supporting documentation, including customs release, commercial invoice, etc.
  • Lead all client billings, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the files as well as compliance with all management requirements.
  • Provides attention to detail and proactively address issues in a timely manner.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Operates safely in all conditions.

  • Degree from accredited college or university with a focus on International Business or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Previous brokerage-related or transportation-related experience preferred.
  • Quick learner, multi-tasker, organized, detail-oriented, problem-solver.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience managing/prioritizing own work assignments, and meeting deadlines.
  • Requires confidence and independent decision-making skills to problem-solve, juggle competing priorities, and provide accurate and responsive customer service.
  • Ability to quickly assess client situations, and escalate to management when needed.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office and related technology.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours across all shifts, weekends, etc based upon business operational demands and may be required to operate across various locations.
