Works with a diverse group of clinicians, statisticians and epidemiologists focused on advancing research in cancer detection and prevention. Responsibilities include designing and managing databases and providing technical support for installation, configuration and maintenance of systems. Develops and programs databases and software. Assists with designing, coding (MySQL, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, etc.), testing, debugging, documenting, installing and maintaining new applications and systems, as well as enhancements to existing ones. Maintains study documentation such as SQL queries and data dictionaries. Assists with data verification. Manages complex research data for study participants. Organizes, cleans and codes data and executes data analyses. Provides technical support, training, and guidance to Principal Investigators, researchers and technicians. May perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field and at least 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Must have experience with performing data queries such as with SQL. Experience with data management software such as REDCap, SAS, R, and/or STATA is preferred.
