Job description

Your main focus, as a Sales Representative will be find new business and then continue to manage and grow those customer relationships by using a relationship-based sales strategy. Additionally, it will be key that you are able to build relationships and work very effectively as a sales leader representing Virtucom with our vendor partners. Our ideal candidate will be a team player who will have the ability and passion to work with School Districts, providing their staff and students with the tools and support that allow them to focus on their ultimate goal…of educating students. Our go to market methodology is to pursue long term engagements, locally supporting our clients, within assigned territories, in a strategic way. We use NetSuite and G-Suite to keep track of all relevant information and strategic steps we conduct in order to provide customized technological solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Prior Sales Experience
  • At least two years’ Experience Selling Technology
  • Exceptional written, verbal, phone and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Passion to Educate and Sell
  • Driven/Self-Motivated/ Hungry
  • A Sales Leader
  • Proven Ability to Build a Network
  • Comfortable with Online Tools & Data Organization
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Hunter Mentality

In addition, our ideal candidate will have some or all of these qualifications:

  • Previous Inside Sales Experience within the Technology Industry, preferably selling services, End User Devices or Classroom Technology
  • Experience Selling into the Public Section, preferably K-12 and at the district level vs school level.
  • Prior Experience Working with Complex RFP’s
  • Experience Working with End User Device or Interactive Flat Panel Vendors
  • Prior Experience Working for a IT Distributor such as SYNNEX, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, D&H, etc. (Big Plus)
