FRG is a financial risk management consulting firm.  We enable the largest banks in the world to measure, analyze, and report on critical risk and performance trends.  As a solutions developer consultant, your skills will aid in the implementation and development of risk products while developing and enhancing relationships with our valued clients.

You will be responsible for helping us deliver an outstanding and unprecedented user experience for our clients. 

The work location is 264 W. Chatham Street, Cary, North Carolina. Core hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. M-F with a 1-hr break for lunch.  FRG is using a hybrid work model.


In this role you will:

  • Serve as an active member of the implementation team
  • Develop solution components with some supervision from senior consultants
  • Have an understanding of system design documents and how the work assigned to you impacts the platform
  • Become familiar with the steps in starting up an implementation project
  • Be an active participant in the project maturity life cycle
  • Demonstrate leadership in providing robust unit test strategies
  • Understand and apply SIT/UAT testing strategies
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain difficult business and technical concepts
  • Perform client training classes on various subjects including domain and technical topics
  • Embrace challenges and learn new skills; be a catalyst for change
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

The right candidate will have experience in: 

  • Python 2 years +
  • Go 2 years +
  • Exposure to Linux, Unix
  • Financial risk management concepts
  • Strong written communication, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Problem-solving, decision making, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team

 Education / Other:

  • MS degree in the areas of Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, or Finance, AND 2-4 years relevant experience OR a BS degree plus a minimum of 3- 5 years relevant experience 
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time as business needs dictate

Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Time

• Paid Vacation time equal to 3 weeks (15 days) annually to start

       - Unused vacation time up to 20 hours can be rolled to the next year 

       - Vacation time is not cashed out when transitioning to a new company; so let's use the time to recharge.

• Paid Holidays - A total of 2 weeks annually  (8 company determined holidays plus 2 floating holidays)

• Paid Sick time equal to 2 weeks or 10 days annually

• FRG prorates vacation, holiday, and sick time during your first year based on your start date
