Position: Event Operations 

Classifications: Part Time

Reports To: Event Operations Manager

1. Physical Demands 

Some walking, bending, stooping, stretching, standing and lifting to 50 pounds occasionally. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for using hand tools and other equipment. Requires normal and/or correctable range of hearing and vision.

2. Work Conditions 

Includes event environments, involving contact with staff and the public. Job is event driven, meaning there may be times where the work schedule involves late night shifts and irregular hours and changes to schedule due to deadlines. 

3. Job Objective 

The Event Operations staff assist Event Manager and Supervisors in the day-to-day operations and assists with the overall event operations of a multi-purpose facility including setting up and tearing down of events. As well as general maintenance of the facility.

4. Qualifications

Possess good communication skills (including the ability to read, write and speak clearly/consistently in English), ability to work well with people, ability to function in a busy environment with multiple interruptions, orientation to detail. A valid state driver’s license is required. 

5. Duties and Responsibilities

Assures organization’s success and event success by assisting daily operation and maintenance of Arena, Convention Hall, and Theatre. This includes setting up rooms in the convention hall, building stages for concerts in the arena, installing basketball court, as well as occasional work outside on the grounds. This includes weed-eating, painting curbs, seasonal planting. 

Helps train other staff or volunteers as needed.

Secures work area before departing each day.
