The Business Unit Accounting Manager utilizes thorough knowledge of accounting; thorough knowledge of budgeting and generally accepted accounting principles; ability to maintain technical competence in accounting, Cash Management/Controls, fixed asset activity, tax matters and emerging industry innovations; and ability to direct and coordinate accounting functions to carry out day to day operations in a start-up environment.
The successful candidate will have the skills to effectively manage a small remote accounting staff, including ability to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct employees to achieve desired results; ability to work with site General Managers; ability to maintain excellent relations with staff; ability to maintain staff and company confidentiality at all times; ability to manage by example; exceptional oral and written communication skills to achieve results beneficial to the company; and ability to create, implement and monitor department and staff goals, strategies and policies.
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; and maintain confidentiality of company information and pertinent data.
Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience in a related industry
Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
Dynamics Business Central 365, Expensify, JPM Credit Cards, Square Up POS, Microsoft Office
This role is preferred to be based in Santa Fe, NM. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets and scanners.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This position will supervise Accountants and Cash Operators.
Travel is required for this position.
