Position Description:

BlueWave has an immediate opening for a Project Development Associate, reporting to the Senior Director of Project Development. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day project duties, including paperwork/filings, and contracts and agreements. Primary focus will be to support the Project Development Team on selected projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development of Solar PV opportunities in all regions. Historically, the majority of our work has consisted of ground-mounted projects in Massachusetts, but we are rapidly expanding our footprint in other markets;
  • Representing BlueWave within the development team including interactions with investors, engineers, contractors, land-owners, permitting authorities and customers; managing all outside parties to achieve favorable results for projects under development and BlueWave;
  • Utilizing our project management, document control and MIS tools to control and report on project progress;
  • Becoming familiar with all project documentation, regulatory requirements and milestones, and monitoring project progress against those requirements;
  • Implementing document control procedures, with a particular focus on critical control documents;
  • Supporting BlueWave’s oversight role in projects under construction;
  • Providing quantitative analytical support for key project development decisions;
  • Assisting in land-use, permitting and site control negotiations; attending evening meetings with, for example, Planning Boards, Conservation Commissions and Select Boards;
  • Supporting investor relations and due diligence for projects offered for sale;
  • Other duties for which you are qualified.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid US Driver’s license
  • Must be able to perform site visits that include rocky/sloped terrain
  • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus
  • Detail oriented
