Marketing & Communications Intern
About the Position
The Marketing & Communications Intern reports directly to the Marketing & Special Events Associate and the External Affairs Associate, and will provide broad support for the External Affairs, Development & Marketing department.
This position will contribute to the organization’s external and internal communication efforts, with a specific focus on the organization’s digital presence (including web and social media). This role will also be responsible for various administrative and development operations tasks, as needed.
This is a paid internship that will be partially remote, with some required travel within San Francisco. The intern is expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week and commit to a minimum of three months, with the potential to extend beyond with manager approval.
The intern will be compensated hourly, paid at San Francisco minimum wage (currently $16.32/hour).

Passion for parks, playgrounds, and the natural world, and for bringing park-related experiences to the public. Commitment to learning about San Francisco’s diverse political landscape and parks/open spaces.

Must be able to engage in a range of physical activity, including standing or sitting at a desk or computer and walking (sometimes on uneven surfaces) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to climb a flight of stairs and lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
