As an Early Learning Center Substitute, you will support the Lead Teacher in providing a structured and educational program for children. In addition, you offer a structured program assuring children's social-emotional, physical, and developmental needs. Aid Lead Teachers in tracking growth and development and overseeing children’s play activities. Early Learning Center Substitutes also guarantee the care, safety, and well-being of all children. Early Learning Center Substitutes enjoy a flexible schedule filling in when assistant teachers are out or when open shifts are available.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Must be 18 years of age or at least 21 years of age to work with Infants and Toddlers.
  • High School Diploma or GED with interest in receiving CDA Credential or CDA equivalent coursework; or College Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education. 
  • Preferably has experience in working with children.
  • Ability to lift children and equipment.
  • General knowledge of nutrition, health, and first aid. 
  • Health examination, criminal check, and proof of being free of tuberculosis.
