Position Summary: 

The Program Coordinator serves a critical role on All Chicago’s programs and community partnerships team. All Chicago supports Chicago’s Continuum of Care (CoC), a membership organization comprised of more than 100 organizations and individuals who drive Chicago’s citywide response to homelessness. All Chicago supports the CoC’s response to homelessness and coordinates training and financial support for over 164 housing and homeless services projects in Chicago. 

The Program Coordinator supports the Senior Program Manager to plan and execute All Chicago projects. This includes working closely with the Coordinated Entry Lead Agency, completing HUD mandated collaborative applicant activities, the administration of various committees and workgroups, the coordination of the biannual CoC membership meetings, support for the CoC Implementation Structure and other duties as appropriate. The Coordinator is also responsible for activities including but not limited to data processing and analysis, records management, the development of reports, and project planning. Position responsibilities and work volume will be established and evaluated through ongoing supervision, annual reviews, and the development of an annual professional development plan.


Specific Responsibilities:

Continuum of Care and Collaborative Applicant Activities (approximately 75% of the position) 

  • In collaboration with Senior Program Manager, provide staff support and serve as liaison to various system partners, committees, and workgroups throughout the CoC.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building opportunities to homeless assistance programs. 
  • Support the successful completion of HUD required CoC activities, including the Housing Inventory Count (HIC), Point-in- Time (PIT) Count, Grants Inventory Worksheet (GIW), and Project Applications. 
  • Assist with gathering, developing and disseminating program reports at a minimum on a quarterly basis. Create new reports as needed. 
  • Conduct research on HUD regulations and respond in a timely manner to CoC members’ inquiries regarding CoC Programming rules, regulations and operations. 
  • Assist with supporting CoC Membership, including the development of agendas for and facilitation of CoC-wide meetings and responding to inquiries about CoC membership in a timely manner. 
  • Support specific special initiatives, as assigned by the Senior Program Manager. 
  • Gather and distribute data, review data for quality issues, and raise challenges with the Senior Program Manager.

Administrative Support (approximately 20% of the position) 

  • In collaboration with the CoC Communications Manager, manage CoC-wide listservs and disseminate relevant announcements to the CoC and the community at-large regarding CoC program-related news. 
  • Support the coordination and administrative activities of internal team meetings and external CoC meetings.

Other Tasks (approximately 5% of the position) 

  • Actively participate in monthly staff and team meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

  

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to preventing and ending homelessness in Chicago and will have the following:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Justice or another related field is required. Master’s degree in one of these fields preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Possess 2-5 years of experience in the field(s) of homelessness service delivery and/or housing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HUD-funded programming, Coordinated Entry and/or the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is preferred.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries, complaints, or concerns, as presented by staff, consumers, service providers, and other stakeholders.

Work Environment

  • All Chicago's normal business hours are 9am to 5pm.  We are currently working entirely remotely and will transition to a hybrid remote/in-office work setting in the future. We will consider accommodations.

Compensation

Salary is $41,000-$54,400, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package (with some employee contributions) includes medical, dental, vision insurance, and disability. Employer-matched retirement plan. Generous paid leave.
