South Central Family Health Center has an exciting opportunity for a psychiatrist. Under the direct supervision of the behavioral health director, the psychiatrist is responsible for providing medical and psychosocial evaluation, developing and implementing treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications, monitoring and evaluating treatment results of assigned client. The psychiatrist has demonstrated expertise in addressing trauma and promoting the recovery of children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance (SED), adults with serious mental illness (SMI), and individuals with Co-Occurring Disorders (COD.
Required CA Medical License in Good standing, CA DEA, Board Certified. Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment. Carries out and follows all SCFHC procedures. Ability to pass health, fingerprint, and DMV clearance. Must possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record. Experience working with SMI, SED, COD population.
