Prelude Behavioral Services is seeking a motivated and outgoing individual with personal experience in recovery for a part-time Peer Recovery Coach position in Iowa City. The goal of this position is to provide support specifically to the homeless population through the Iowa Treatment for individuals Experiencing Homelessness (TIEH) Grant. The Peer Recovery Coach provides support to patients in a variety of ways, including participating in community outreach activities and connecting patients with necessary resources.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a personal experience with recovery. Candidates must have basic computer skills and excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to complete Recovery Coach training and/or Peer Support training as soon as possible after hire date.
The schedule for this position can be flexible. The role requires 20 hours of work each week, Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Must be available to work some evenings as needed.
Candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen prior to beginning employment. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required for this role.
