About the Role:

The Warehouse Specialist role at CRI is a dynamic and integral position within our operations team. This specialist will be responsible for the efficient handling and management of furniture products throughout the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is accurately maintained and orders are fulfilled with precision. The role involves active participation in various warehouse activities, from receiving and processing incoming stock and materials to organizing and storing items, and picking and packing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. As a Warehouse Specialist, you will play a key role in the success of our daily operations, directly impacting our ability to deliver exceptional service to our clients.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Facilitates the movement of materials within the warehouse and performs a variety of support tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Engages in multiple operations such as unloading, selecting, packaging, tallying, and verifying items to uphold inventory accuracy.
  • Safely operates a range of equipment including hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, and pallet jacks, adhering strictly to safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource systems (ERP) to view or update information, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
  • Fulfills customer orders meticulously using a pick list and prepares them for shipment, meeting company standards for quality and timeliness.
  • Offloads trucks promptly and verifies the delivery of products.
  • Processes incoming products by measuring, inspecting for damages, photographing, and cataloging details into the WMS to maintain an impeccable record.
  • Assists in accurately pulling products as detailed in daily pull lists.
  • Loads products onto trucks with precision and efficiency, ensuring safe transport.
  • Prepares trucks with all necessary equipment for deliveries, guaranteeing a complete setup.
  • Welcomes and aids truck drivers during deliveries and pickups, providing excellent service.
  • Ensures that products returned from job sites are properly tagged for inventory and storage, and communicates any discrepancies to the Warehouse Lead.
  • Strategically stores products according to designated locations in the WMS, optimizing space and accessibility.
  • Supports the Warehouse Lead with various tasks as needed, contributing to team success and warehouse goals.
  • Efficiently offloads products at job sites and positions them according to the installation plan, ensuring a seamless setup process.
  • Unpacks products with care, preparing them for installation while minimizing potential damage.
  • Maintains a clean work environment by collecting and packing up debris and waste into the truck, ensuring the job site remains organized and safe.
  • Provides support with stair carries, demonstrating strength and teamwork to maneuver items safely through challenging areas.
  • Observes and learns from installers, gaining valuable insights into the installation process and techniques.
  • Assists in emptying trucks alongside the field crew daily after returning from job sites, contributing to the orderly management of materials and equipment.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including material handling, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for tracking and managing inventory.
  • Prior experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, including the inspection and verification of incoming and outgoing products.
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage the flow of materials and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Excellent attention to detail for picking, packing, and processing orders as well as inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including database systems and inventory software, to input and retrieve data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good physical condition to handle manual tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide support across various warehouse functions.
  • Commitment to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
