Description
Administers corporate sales program within the district, assisting Cornwell tool dealers to maximize their sales and their profitability. Responsible to increase Cornwell tool dealer count. District Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager responsible for her/his geographic area and receives general supervision from same.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruits, trains, and assists Cornwell dealers.
- Communicates with Cornwell tool dealers and applies corporate guidelines and policies
- Responsible for achieving district dealer growth, sales forecast, and goals.
- Conducts a minimum of one District sales meeting per quarter, using the company prepared PowerPoint presentation, Has DM kits available at the meeting.
- Develops and maintains District territory surveys using company guidelines.
- Analyzes dealer sales data and informs Regional Manager of potential problems/issues. Completes all required reporting as directed by company by time specified.
- Works closely with dealers and both the Wholesale Credit and Tech Credit departments to maintain district receivables within the company’s credit terms by calling each department weekly.
- Trains and assists dealers in using Company programs to maximize dealer sales and profitability. Immediately reports misuse or abuse of company programs, or suspected breeches of dealer franchise agreement.
- Makes weekly phone contact with each dealer within assigned district to develop and strengthen relationships with dealers and keeps dealers informed of company policies and programs.
- Communicates sales data and information to district weekly.
- Makes herself/himself available to assigned dealers beyond normal working hours.
- Prepares and distributes a monthly newsletter for the district.
- Spends a minimum of three days per week working with, training, and riding with dealers. Documents training according to company policy. Completes and uploads Personal Contact Reports

Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma / GED.
Experience
- Previous experience in the mobile tool business or equivalent.
Specific Skills
- Must have demonstrated supervisory, organizational and computer skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated sales ability.
Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.)
- Manage basic computer functions
- Able to navigate internal computer systems
- Microsoft Office experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Physical Activities include stooping and bending, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles; reaching short distances; walking long distances of up to 3-5 miles per day when assisting a mobile dealer; pulling/pushing, using upper extremities to exert a 150 pound force in order to draw, drag, haul, tug or push objects in a sustained motion; and doing repetitive motions of the wrist, hand and/or fingers.
- Physical Requirements are moderate. The incumbent exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 85 pounds sporadically, up to 70 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly as well as exerting up to 300 pounds of force while assisting in loading and displaying tool vans, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Duties are occasionally performed under objectionable conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, noise, dusty, and dirty conditions due to travel responsibility.
MOTOR VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
- Must maintain a current driver’s license within the state of residence.
- Must maintain adequate liability and collision insurance coverage.
