Data and Inventory Clerk
Description

The Data/Inventory clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing supplies and products within the Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida. This position will also provide support in transferring data from paper records into SAMIS or other computer systems. This position may prepare correspondence, reports, answers telephones and maintains electronic records.

 

 

    

Requirements
  • Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory. May stock and issue materials or merchandise
  • Verifies purchase orders for physical count of materials received and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, to Unit Directors or Area Director. 
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents 
  • Update & Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.) 
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and able to be insured for driving company vehicles
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and database entry.


Education:

This position requires a High School Diploma or a degree from a two-year college or related experience is preferred.
