Customer Service Rep
Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Contribute to success of assigned accounts by contacting, diagnosing critical business issues and selling product to customers and prospects, which have been classified as Core Accounts, via telephone, mail, e-mail and other means of communication. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

1. To develop & utilize product and industry knowledge
2. To develop & utilize diagnostic selling skills - Pre-call planning and preparation, telephone approach to customers and prospects, fact-finding skills, recommend based on needs, handling objections and closing the sale
3. To develop long term customer relationships & drive sales and customer satisfaction 
4. To utilize customer relationship management system (CRM) to keep accurate account records
5. To use established procedures to inform the company of industry needs and changes, i.e. new product requests
6. Performs job in a safe manner and protects themselves and other from known and expected hazards
7. All employees use personal protective equipment and follow all safety policies and procedures
8. To assist other departments as needed


QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One-year previous office experience or equivalent training/education - preferred 
  • Sales or related experience preferred
  • Math aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to understand the diagnostic selling process and engage customers and prospects in a basic conversation in an effort to understand their critical business issues and priorities

  • Strong Communication Skills - Must be able to communicate with and understand the needs and requests, both written and oral, of customers
  • Must be able to work well with others as a part of a team effort
  • Able to efficiently use multi-line phone system and other assigned equipment

  • Must be trustworthy and able to work with limited supervision
  • Must be reliable and have high personal integrity
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy on data input
