Due to growth, we are seeking a new Social Worker Manager to serve as a supervisor, advisor, and resource for the Social Work and Spiritual Care teams out of our Sacramento Office Location. Job Responsibilities:

As a Social Work Team Manager, you directly supervise Medical Social Workers and Spiritual Care. Specific management responsibilities include:

*Acts as a resource and role model to the Hospice & Palliative Care teams

*Directly supervises Medical Social Workers and Spiritual Care Providers

*Oversees schedules ensuring patient needs are covered; approve time off requests and timesheets

*Depending on census, the Team Manager may carry a modified case load and make patient visits

*Teaches, supports, counsels, coaches, debriefs and aids MSW & SCP team members while being sensitive to the learning needs of the colleague

*Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementation & evaluation of education programs

*Key role in the orientation and training program for new MSW & SCP staff 


*Masters of Social Work Degree from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education

*Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred

*Minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience preferred

*A demonstrated ability in casework and counseling, including a minimum of 3 years of clinical work experience, preferably in either a healthcare setting or hospice
