Overview:

The Sample Associate will work closely with Designers to act as point person for sampling requests and for communication between internal teams and factories for both in-season and off-calendar requests.

Key Accountabilities:

• Maintain seasonal sampling template(s)
• Create sampling request across all brands/categories to ensure alignment between factories
• Act as point person for sampling requests and for communication between internal teams and factories for both in-season and off-calendar requests
• Communicate deliverable updates to both domestic and global cross-functional partners to ensure timelines are maintained and milestone deliverables are met
• Elevate and proactively seek out solutions to missed deliverables as they relate to Calendar or shifts in business needs
• Track seasonal capacity throughout each tier of sampling, ensuring that total number requested falls within allocation
• Partner with cross-functional business leads to identify solutions for shifted sampling needs as in-season challenges arise
• Partner with cross-functional leadership in concepting, testing, and rolling out new digital sampling solutions 
• Partner with Calendar team and Design on achievable deadlines for sampling deliverables seasonally
• Partner with calendar team to manage calendar updates in biweekly calendar agendas, including reporting out recaps of sample xfty’s, and manage updates in master calendar files & outlook calendars
• Special projects as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus) 
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
