Job Title: Summer Operations Assistant
Summary: This seasonal position will assist in the daily activities involved in New Vision’s Agronomy, Grain, and/or Feed Operations. Tasks may include making deliveries, collecting soil and tissue samples, grounds and facility maintenance, loading/unloading rail cars, bin cleaning, and assistance in other areas as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have a basic understanding of machinery operation and dry material handling. Must have the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and perform accurate weight and inventory measurements. Basic computer skills required. Must be self-motivated and able to work as a team member.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Possess the ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver’s license and the willingness to acquire a CDL if needed.
