Description
Abide, a division of Guideposts, is the leading app for Christian meditation. As our Software Engineer, you will be responsible for API service, stability, performance, deployment and feature development. Responsibilities include:
- Write production-quality code and design docs
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing code and design docs
- Provide effort estimates for roadmap planning
- Understand product goals and work with Product and UX to refine requirements
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Proactively research, propose, and implement use of various platforms, services, libraries, and technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with one or more database systems
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues across platforms
- Passion and discipline for best practices
- Willingness to learn and apply new technologies
- Strong work ethic and ability to produce solutions in a timely manner
- Previous startup experience a strong plus
- Experience with any of these technologies: Go, MongoDB, React, Kubernetes, iOS, Android
- Experience in any of these specializations: subscription management, content discovery, recommendation systems, media streaming, CRM integration
