Job Summary:

We are looking for a Electromechanical Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes in assigned area(s) of responsibility while improving safety, quality, and productivity methods and actively contributing to achieve key performance indicators of the assigned area(s) and company goals. You will determine methods to measure and goal process effectiveness and efficiency to determine actions to continuously improve processes. In addition, this position will identify process improvement opportunities using lean manufacturing methods, six sigma, and assist with new product introductions, and assuring the effective utilization of equipment and materials while maintaining safety, quality and cost standards aimed at meeting customers’ quality, cost, and on-time delivery expectations.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, measures, and evaluates processes, methods, and material utilization 
  • Reduces cycle time through fixture and/or work holding design and new product development processes
  • Lead design, sustainment, and troubleshooting of USCS electro-mechanical product line (actuators, sensory components, wire    harness, embedded controllers, etc.).
  • Advance USCS electro-mechanical portfolio with new innovations or new product development.
  • Manage internal and/or external resources to maintain schedule and cost targets associated with electro-mechanical products.
  • Partners with R&D and Brand category leadership to establish and support project priorities and align resources with project  pipeline
  • Uses financial information and analysis to support fact-based business decisions
  • Communicates and manages program expectations to project managers, sponsors, team members, executive management, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Uses Make-Buy analysis to determine manufacturing network changes to deliver a best cost solution for the business


  • Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing knowledge, certification a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, mechanical design, manufacturing, and assembly
  • Knowledge of SMT, through hole, wave solder and final assembly processes
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
  • BS or MS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
