Description

Position Objective:

To provide administrative support for the Membership Services Department 


Primary Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Print daily high dollar donation report, gather all source documents and check copies mailed to PETA for the names listed on the report and scan to the Major Gifts department 

• Receive member contact forms and e-mails from the INFO email address in response to receiving a prospect mailing from the organization and process necessary request

• Upload paper mail received from members to the donor database

• Review and redirect petitions received from members from direct mail fundraising

• Prepare and submit department check requests

• Pick up and distribute interdepartmental mail

• Pull and send credit-card batches to the Finance Department for source retention monthly

• Receive Canadian survey responses from caging vendor and creates zero dollar batches for entry

• Maintain office inventory of stationary and special gift cards

• Answer direct phone line from reception phone prompt selects from members and general public

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High school education or higher 

• Minimum of one year of data entry experience 

• Previous clerical experience working in an office environment 

• Proven knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs 

• Typing speed of 40 words per minute 

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis 

• This position requires proof of the COVID-19 full vaccination and booster

• Demonstrated effective organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
