POSITION SUMMARY

Processes daily Interlibrary Loan requests in a timely manner. Assists patrons in locating materials from other libraries.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process interlibrary loan requests in a timely manner
  • Manage incoming and outgoing courier shipments  
  • Informs students and faculty about the status of their Interlibrary Loans
  • Maintains monthly statistics for borrowing and lending
  • Collaborates with our library staff in locating library materials 
  • Collaborates with other libraries in securing library materials
  • Identifies and locates appropriate reference and circulation materials for patrons using electronic, print, and other resources

Education

Bachelors’ degree. Relevant experience may substitute for education.


Experience

2 years of library experience.  Knowledge of integrated library systems, OCLC and Agent. Knowledge of EBSCO and FirstSearch required.
