Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an integral part of Talent and Culture Development Team (TaCDT). In addition to supporting recruitment and engagement efforts at Blades of Green, the Talent Acquistion Specialist is uniquely responsible for finding, cultivating and proactively sourcing candidates to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is always up for a challenge and who thinks "outside-of-the-box". The ideal candidate will have service industry recruitment experience who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our growing company.


Tasks

  • Develop and participate in proactive recruitment initiatives.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to team members or job applicants.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
  • Administer employee aptitude, personality, and other assessment instruments.
  • Schedule or conduct portions of new team member orientations
  • Track and manage recruiting metrics (number of applicants, source and process completion)
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess applicant compatibility
  • Manage various sourcing mediums including Glassdoor, Snagajob and the like and determine effectiveness
  • Manage EAP program and act as the point of contact for any questions.
  • Attend networking and candidate outreach events.
  • Research, prepare and conduct HR related training to personnel.
  • Perform reference, pre-employment background checks and post-accident screens, as needed.
  • Act as the liaison between team members and management in handling complaints, suggestions and the like.
  • Develop and post job ads.
  • Assist with programs which enhance and foster team member engagement.
  • All other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

The individual for this role is able to think strategically, developing new ideas for the company's recruitment and engagement initiatives.

  • Work Experience : 2+ years experience in human resources
  • Education : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

While there may be opportunities to work remotely, this is NOT a remote position.
