SUPERVISED BY: Facilities Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


JOB PURPOSE: Supports manufacturing and the plant facilities by maintaining all equipment and building structures by performing preventive maintenance, scheduled corrective maintenance and emergency repairs. Works independently.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Performs emergency/break down repairs as necessary to support plant operations.
  2. Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to keep equipment running at peak efficiency.
  3. Lead installation of new equipment and completion of small projects.
  4. Use CMMS to capture work history of equipment and use of spare parts.
  5. Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  6. Assist in training and mentoring of the maintenance team.
  7. Independently perform advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment.
  8. Must be able to analyze jobs by determining the fastest and safest way to complete the work.
  9. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related work as needed and giving feedback to make improvements. Produces assigned work in a timely manner and to the best of their ability.
  10. Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES:

  • As directed by Facilities Manager or Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Operate forklift, scissor, or boom lift

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting, twisting, reaching, carrying, and bending
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to safely stand for 95% of the working shift.
  • Ability to read, write and converse in the English language.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience working with 480, 208, 3 phase and 120-volt electrical circuits
  • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot 24-volt DC electrical machine controls
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices used in machine controls and tooling fixtures used in the manufacturing process
  • Thorough knowledge of hydraulics as used in machine controls and ability to rebuild assemblies, such as cylinders
  • Knowledge of pipe fittings (pipe, SAE, JIC)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of air compressors
  • Understanding of CNC controls (Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.)
  • Advanced plumbing knowledge
  • Knowledge/uses of different grades of oils and greases
  • Experience installing heavy duty equipment (robots, CNC mills, lathes, presses, etc.)
  • Fully responsible for the quality of their own work

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
