Job Summary: This is a regular, full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime as needed. Assemble all jobs assigned by the product line manager, including electrical components, subassemblies, products, or systems under close supervision.


Job Duties: Minimum job duties include the following. 

· Assemble small/miniature connectors under a microscope and using the correct procedures and tooling.

· Prep, cut, trim, assemble & solder microwave cable assemblies using the correct procedures and tooling.

· Assemble microwave harness assemblies using the correct procedures and tooling.

· Document all time spent when assembling work orders and record data on time sheet.

· Understand the principles of the tooling used for various assemblies.

· Follow verbal and written instructions contained on Assembly drawings.

· Visually inspect assembled parts. 

· Submit parts for testing per established procedures.

· Overtime will be required as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Skills/Experience: Minimum one (1) year assembly manufacturing experience working with miniature parts, using a microscope is required. Must know all assembly procedures for miniature connectors and cables.  Able to read and understand written   instructions in English and possess basic math skills related to dimensions and quantities and read all assembly drawings.  Employees at this level must show desire to learn new procedures, to progress to higher skill levels and to help train new employees.

 

Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical   demands: Must be able to sit for extended periods (40 hours or more) to perform repetitive work, operate different size manual presses to assemble connectors, have the ability to use a microscope and be able to hold small hand tools during assembly and soldering.
