Compensation: $95-$110/day ($570-$660/week)

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for leading the camp logistics, which include camp check in/check out procedures (in collaboration with the Camp Management Team), coordinating camp scheduling meetings and creating camper info reports for each session. This position will directly supervise the Logistics Assistant and is responsible for managing the camp office and logistics systems. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate weekly logistics tasks to ensure camp runs smoothly including check-in, check-out, scheduling, camp van scheduling, and other all-camp activities as needed.

  • Organize weekly forms, reports, and procedures including health form reports, check-in/out forms, cabin lists, assigning check-in and out staff responsibilities, etc.; 
  • Organize and set-up weekly staff scheduling meetings including creating a digital copy of the weekly schedules.
  • Meet regularly with Camp Director to discuss logistics tasks, weekly needs, etc. 

2. Directly supervise and work in collaboration with the Logistics Assistant.

  • Schedule and lead regular check-ins with direct report.
  • Observe, evaluate, and coach direct report including providing formal and informal feedback. 

3. Maintain on-site camp office space and act as camp ambassador to visitors. 

  • Assist in telephone, email, and walk-in reception coverage for office. 
  • Maintain office inventory and supply orders as needed. 
  • Organize office files including staff files, accident/incident reports, and other important documents as needed.
  • Participate in regular cleaning of office space and other areas of camp as needed.

4. This role will come in contact with campers, families, visitors, vendors and employees. Each of these persons may have visible and invisible qualities that makes that person unique. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises the Logistics Assistant and Provides project-based supervision to staff on check-in and check-out days. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching employees on performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers, volunteers, parents, and contractors; including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Has a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. We are able to hire a small number of current high-school aged staff that are at least 16-years-old, but the majority of our staff must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manages time and stress levels, and proactively solve problems.
  • Ability to interact with campers of varying age levels.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Prior to June 2022, must be able to obtain a valid Oregon Food Handler’s card, First Aid & CPR certification and completion of Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse online training. https://occd.educadium.com/


Physical Demands

The employee must frequently move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to traverse varied terrain over the 60 acres of main camp, be stationary for prolonged periods, gather supplies from various heights and locations. In compliance with covid-19 protocols, employees are asked to wear a face mask when not actively consuming food/beverage.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions 95% of the time. The employee may be occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional periods of excessive noise (i.e. meal times, talent show).
