If you are looking for a challenging but rewarding role with excellent benefits, the Joliet Park District is seeking a Finance Assistant in our Finance Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Finance Assistant is responsible for support in the areas of accounting, finance, banking, budgeting, payroll, financial analysis, and other related areas. The major emphasis of this position will be assisting with the daily operations of the Finance Department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Finance Assistant is a full-time exempt position working 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday approximately 8:00 to 5:00.
Some bending, kneeling and reaching items off floor and high shelves. Perform repetitive hand/arm movements as when working on computer keyboards, calculator or writing reports. Sitting for sustained periods of time while completing work at desk or workstation. Ability to handle mental stress in order to cope with deadlines and providing immediate financial information. Strong voice, phone and listening skills. Constant standing up and sitting down as necessary to accomplish daily activities. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds in paper boxes, storage boxes and other supplies. Employee’s general work area indoors is a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. Employee may be exposed to noise distractions from employees or equipment operation in adjacent work areas. Employee may be required to work during various weather conditions, including cold and hot temperatures. Required to work extra hours to accomplish and complete high volume of work.
