Lyra Therapeutics, Inc. is a clinical-stage therapeutics company leveraging its proprietary XTreo™ platform to enable precise, sustained, local delivery of medications to diseased tissues not accessible with conventional therapeutic approaches. Lyra's XTreo™ platform is comprised of a biocompatible mesh scaffold, an engineered elastomeric matrix and a versatile polymer-drug complex. The company's current pipeline of therapeutics target tissues deep in the ear, nose and throat passages and are designed to deliver continuous drug therapy for up to six months following a single non-invasive, in-office administration. Lyra's lead product candidate, LYR-210, is entering Phase 3 clinical development for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) as an alternative to primary sinus surgery. Lyra's second product candidate, LYR-220, is entering Phase 2 development and is designed to be an alternative to revision CRS sinus surgery and post-surgical medical management. Our programs are moving quickly, and we are currently seeking a Senior Program Manager to manage the operational planning, and communication for one or more drug development programs. The Senior Program Manager works with the Program Lead on internal teams to manage the company’s program management planning capability and tools in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Lyra’s program teams. In this role the Senior Program Manager will manage schedules and activities, utilize project management tools to create and manage project plans and track progress and results. 

This position reports to the Director, Program Management and will work closely with the Program Development Teams to manage program activities. This position requires excellent communication skills and desire and willingness to work in a fast pace entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with 5 or more years of experience in drug development. 


  • Work with Program Lead and Program Teams to build and maintain project plans using MS Project or other project management tools
  • Collaborate with program team in the preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, presentation materials, and follow up action items
  • Maintain tools for communication about project goals and progress (i.e. Egnyte, Office 365 sites)
  • Track progress of activities and deliverables, manage key program deliverables, and identify program risks and mitigation strategies, and anticipate potential issues
  • Develop and maintain key program tracking tools for communication with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Work with the Program Team and Finance to define budgeting and forecasting information utilizing the financial management system 
  • Manage multiple programs in clinical development
  • Support the Program Lead in management of projects to support the Program Management function
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline required
  • 5+ years of product development project management experience, at least 3 in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong preference for project management certification (e.g. PMI, IPMA) 
  • Proven success working in cross-functional teams 
  • Familiarity with cross-functional Drug Development Process, preferably including CMC,  from clinical phase through commercialization. Medical device development experience is also a plus
  • Experience with Drug product technical transfer to a Contract Manufacturing Organization 
  • Skilled in project management, spreadsheet and presentation software 
  • Strong, confident written and oral communicator
