Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance and custodian tasks. 


Requirements

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and PM CNC equipment

• Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild Gelcoat, Resin, Chop, and Putty guns. 

• Familiar with PLC’s Programming and other robotic equipment. 

• Track, maintain, generate and complete PM’s, on schedule. 

• Lead and train other maintenance personnel.

• Upkeep of grounds (exterior): Assists with grounds maintenance, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance. 

• Light Maintenance: Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, and restock supply cabinet/room as needed.

• Waste Removal: Oversee daily trash removal, empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas. 

• Surface Care: Sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, dusting, cleaning exterior entryway/cigarette receptacles, windows, and glass doors, cleaning/polishing/floor maintenance, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, water fountains, vending machines, etc.)

• Oversee personnel completing daily and weekly cleaning of employee restrooms. 

• Change of all filters for HVAC as required.

• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to light fixtures, lamps and ballasts, switches and outlets, minor appliances, cords, fuses, using hand, power and specialty tools.

• Performs minor plumbing maintenance to include but not limited to leaks in drains or faucets, unclogging drains, rebuilding defective faucets, hand valves, and flush valves.

• Performs minor painting, patching and carpentry work.

• Assists with the assessment and repairs on building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.





Requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• May require climbing and working from ladders. 

• May require bending and stooping. 

• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. 


Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent.

• 2-3 years of working experience in facilities maintenance.

• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented.
