Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:  Transport clients or company personnel by performing the following duties (20-25 hours per week).


JOB SPECIFICATIONS


  1. Drives vehicle from main campus to secondary campus to transport clients to social services, job sites, grocery store, and/or other destinations according to assigned schedule.
  2. Transports mail, documents, and parcels between sites, grocery purchases and goods from other agencies to the main and/or secondary campuses.
  3. Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. Secures any wheelchairs to restraining devices.
  4. Ensures passenger safety: enforcing seatbelt usage, and smoking/noise restrictions during trip.
  5. Communicates by cell phone hand-free device with main campus and/or other locations to report disruption of service, change in schedule or emergency.
  6. Daily and weekly monitoring vehicles to ensure no cracked windows, lights are functioning properly, etc.
  7. Assist with cleaning and servicing of vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  8. Coordinate transportation schedule with other drivers as needed.
  9. Submit daily trip records.
  10. Perform such duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.


Requirements

Positions Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Education - High School Diploma. No waiver of education shall be granted.
  2. Minimum Experience - Conflict Resolution/De-escalation training preferred.
  3. Minimum Licensure/Certification - Class B commercial driver's license, CPR Training.
  4. Skills:

- Ability to express information/observations both verbally and in writing in an accurate, professional manner.

- Interpersonal relationship skills.

- Considerable knowledge and understanding of AA philosophy and 12 Steps.

  1. Ability to write clearly and informatively; ability to read and interpret written information.
