General Responsibilities

Requires ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T, have proficiency with hand-held gauges, optical comparator and CMM. Ability to work with machinist to interpret process data.

  1. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced per instruction
  2. Verify process documentation is correct
  3. Complete manufacturing documentation prior to moving parts
  4. Complete necessary computer transactions
  5. Perform required transactions to disposition parts and components
Requirements

Required Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of experience


  

Required Technical Skills 

  1. Print reading – ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, datum structures, and process dimensions.
  2. GD&T – ability to read and interpret GD&T symbols and callouts.
  3. Hand gaging – Must be proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, thread gages, plug gages, height stand with indicator, and profilometer.
  4. Layout Inspection – ability to  understand inspection instructions and inspect parts utilizing manual gauging, CMM, and optical comparator
  5. CMM operation – ability to download  program, identify needed fixturing, and correctly load components
  6. CMM data review – ability to review and  understand CMM data in an Excel format
  7. Router control – ability to review manufacturing order documentation for completion and correctness
  8. Process documentation – ability to  clearly define product nonconformance data and create required quality  documentation
  9. Manual and specification - Ability to interpret established sampling plan, specifications, and manuals
