Description
SUMMARY
The Gas Lift Service Shop Tech will be tasked with the set up and tear down of gas lift equipment, running inventory counts, and various other gas lift related task within the gas lift shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, build, and teardown gas lift valves and mandrels as per the design requirements.
- Prepare, build, and teardown production packers.
- Prepare, execute, and maintain various forms and spreadsheets.
- Assist in the shop as required.
- Provide testing, repairs, and routine servicing on equipment in the shop.
- Test and maintain equipment in the shop.
- Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
- Accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely basis.
- Assist in the shop and make deliveries.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
- Work assignments must be carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

EHS REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals.
- Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
- Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s Safety Skills training requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years’ experience as Field Service Technician I
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Broad knowledge of well completion forming a background for troubleshooting failures and providing technician support.
- Must have a valid driver license
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks without close supervision or direction.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A combination of the requirements that may also be considered.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit and/or drive a vehicle; a minimum of 2 hours and often up to 4 hours.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a pump shop or warehouse, and to all allowable areas of a well site or other job sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely mount and dismount from the back of a truck, and bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools such as a wench.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace.
- Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to drive a one-ton pick-up truck.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is typically considered within a ELS location during normal or extended business hours. Work environment may also include customer sites including oil well sites, and meeting venues, extensive time off site while traveling or to other location as required.
