The Consulting Engineers Group (CEG) is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 5+ years of structural engineering experience to join our team in Mount Prospect, IL (Chicago NW suburb).

Responsibilities:
· Performs engineering design of precast concrete structures and generates submittal calculations
· Performs analysis/calculations in software such as Excel, ETABS, and STAAD
· Creates precast structural details
· Reviews architectural and structural plans and details
· Reviews precast erection drawings and shop tickets for design and accuracy
Potential Responsibilities:
· Project coordination/management
· Interacts with precasters, architects, engineers, drafters, and other employees to resolve issues
· Develops plant and field repairs for precast concrete components
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
· Successful completion of FE Exam
· 5 years of structural design experience.
· Detail oriented with excellent organization and communication skills W
· Willingness to work as part of a team
Preferred:
· Background in Reinforced Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Design
· Experience with Revit
· Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications
· Experience with Microsoft Office software
