Manages all phases of the Quality Control Department in order to maintain the highest possible quality standards. Manages a variety of safety programs, policies and procedures to ensure OSHA and company compliance. Ensures efficiency, cost effectiveness and accuracy within Quality and Safety.


  • Develop and maintain/oversee a quality control program to eliminate new and existing defects throughout the manufacturing processes; Total Quality Management (TQM).
  • Develop and maintain/oversee a safety program
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Analyzes quality procedures to ensure welds, configuration and dimensional aspects are accurately verified
  • Responsible for interdepartmental employee quality and safety training
  • Evaluates quality levels and recommends corrective actions where necessary
  • Investigates accidents to determine root causes, contributing factors and ensures corrective actions are implemented
  • Prepares detailed report with all information gathered and presents verbal and written investigation findings
  • Champions culture change, safety programs, employee engagement to promote a safety environment. Leads monthly safety meetings and provides safety topics for communication to employees
  • Partners with leadership to establish ongoing coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments or functional areas for quality and safety


  • Associates Degree in related field or acceptable experience
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • 2 years of quality/safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing (fabrication, welding, assembly) environment; emphasis on quality
  • Experience in process development
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions while staying on task
  • Familiarity with safety standards and processes to follow federal, state and local regulations
  • Communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings and status reports
  • Ability to develop knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control
  •  Attention to detail 
  • Analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
  • Interpersonal skills
