Description
Provide overall leadership, guidance and direction to Hotel management team as it strives to provide the highest quality in standards, service and safety. This includes the ability to provide decisive and accurate direction to staff and guests under stressful conditions. Act as main liaison between client and hotel staff, walk through entire operation frequently to manage and maintain a secure hotel environment.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for decisions regarding guests and employee life, safety, comfort and satisfaction; including but not limited to lead on fire, evacuation and first responder in medical situations.
- Effectively provide management, discipline and motivation.
- Walk through entire operation frequently and consistently, ensuring hotel’s quality standards are met as it relates to appearance, levels of maintenance, safety and cleanliness.
- Handle security issues effectively and communicate as needed to management.
- Demonstrate effective knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle them.
- Effectively handle media requests made in absence of Director of Public Affairs.
- Provide effective training to new MOD’s.
- Provide specific written feedback to managers of departments under MOD’s nightly supervision.
- Effectively act as a resource to night staff.
- Ensure entertainment venues are available and maintained.
- Obtain and maintain Basic First Aid/CPR/AED training.
- Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
- Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
- Present a professional, quality image at all times.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Hotel experience, in role of Manager on Duty or in an associated hotel role such as Front office, Rooms, Reception or Reservations, is preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal and strong communication skills.
- Must have previous hotel computer skills, know and correctly follow proper reservation procedures.
- Must be confident, approachable, committed, enthusiastic, flexible and motivated.
- Must use proper etiquette while conversing with guests from all countries and backgrounds. Bilingual or trilingual skills are helpful.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
- Must be able to work in tight space.
- Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to keep up with pace of department/position demands.
Salary Description
$22 Hourly
