Description

1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position involves all aspects of plastics part manufacturing and machining processes. Overall responsibilities are:

  • Maintain production equipment to eliminate any downtime in the production process. Perform schedule preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Repair production equipment in breakdown situation.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment’s such as motors, pumps, conveyors belts, fans and air conditioners.
  • Dismantle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment and power tool and tests apparatus to locate defects, perform repairs or replace broken parts
  • Operate forklift and manipulators.
  • Operate crane and manipulate objects up to 30 tonnes.
  • Clean and lubricate parts equipment.
  • Practice good housekeeping to keep work areas clean, organized and safe.
  • Supports and participates in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements by adhering to processes and procedures.
Requirements

2.0 REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Education

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of technical trade school preferred.

2.2 Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a production environment.

2.3 Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions, drawings or blue prints, specifications, safety signs/warnings and other job related materials as needed.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure of schedules.
  • Knowledge of electrical processes, mechanical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read tape measure

3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Squatting, sitting, bending, pushing, walking 8-12 hours per day.
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Constant exposure to production environment.
  • Must be able to work in different weather conditions.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment in required production areas.
