Description

1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mold Setup
  • Change out molds
  • Operate fork lift and Cranes
  • Troubleshoot processes and make required adjustments
  • Clean molds and perform basic maintenance and lubrication
  • Store molds in designated areas
  • Production Setup
  • Assemble and material staging
  • Troubleshooting when problems are reported and observed
  • Supports and participates in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements by adhering to processes and procedures.
Requirements

2.0 REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Education

  • High School Graduated or GED
  • College Degree preferred

2.2 Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in experience in plastic injection molding industry

2.3 Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions, drawings or blue prints, specifications safety signs/warnings and other job related materials as needed
  • Ability to work under pressure of schedules
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Must be fully trained in molding machine operation and theory including water flow, hydraulic pressure, temperature settings, and display readouts in a variety of materials
  • Must be capable of training other technicians and working with operators to instruct in proper techniques

2.4 Knowledge

  • Proven work history handling hydraulic, electrical and mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment. Comparable plastics experience may be considered

3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Squatting, sitting, bending, pushing, walking 8-12 hours per day.
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Exposure to production environment.
  • Must be able to work in different weather conditions.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment in required production areas.
