Description
1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mold Setup
- Change out molds
- Operate fork lift and Cranes
- Troubleshoot processes and make required adjustments
- Clean molds and perform basic maintenance and lubrication
- Store molds in designated areas
- Production Setup
- Assemble and material staging
- Troubleshooting when problems are reported and observed
- Supports and participates in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements by adhering to processes and procedures.
Requirements
2.0 REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Education
- High School Graduated or GED
- College Degree preferred
2.2 Experience
- Minimum 3 years in experience in plastic injection molding industry
2.3 Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions, drawings or blue prints, specifications safety signs/warnings and other job related materials as needed
- Ability to work under pressure of schedules
- Ability to read tape measure
- Must be fully trained in molding machine operation and theory including water flow, hydraulic pressure, temperature settings, and display readouts in a variety of materials
- Must be capable of training other technicians and working with operators to instruct in proper techniques
2.4 Knowledge
- Proven work history handling hydraulic, electrical and mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment. Comparable plastics experience may be considered
3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Squatting, sitting, bending, pushing, walking 8-12 hours per day.
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Exposure to production environment.
- Must be able to work in different weather conditions.
- Must wear personal protective equipment in required production areas.
