About LWVUS:
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has fought for nearly 100 years to improve American systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education, advocacy, and litigation. The enduring vitality and resonance of the League as a trusted force for change and good government comes from its unique decentralized structure: a national organization with strong partnerships at the grassroots level with more than 750 state and local Leagues across the country including the District of Columbia. At the national level, League activities are coordinated and staffed by two distinct but complimentary organizations: The League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) and the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF).
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be primarily responsible for overseeing key voter protection activities, and partnerships related to leveraging the League of Women Voters’ nationwide network of members and volunteers. The Program Manager will work closely with the rest of the Mission Impact team and state Leagues to plan and execute voter protection efforts and partnerships that grow our reach, expand our ability to protect and empower millions of voters, and position the LWV to reach our strategic goals. This position reports to the Programs and Outreach Director.
This is a contract funded position. The continuation of this role is reviewed annually and based on the renewal of the funding contract.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement effective strategies to support Making Democracy Work goals by managing programs related to voter protection, including election observation, and work with elections official.
· Serve as a key point of contact for prospective and active partner organizations and spearhead organizational efforts to engage new partners.
· Maintain and report out on an active database of ongoing partnerships, prospective partnerships, and partnership activities.
· Coordinate cross-team strategies to build and support effective internal communication.
· Produce reports as required to keep staff and Board of Directors informed of progress and activities.
· Build strong, trusted, and authentic relationships with League leaders and partner organizations.
· Represent LWV to external audiences at meetings, events, and conferences.
· Produce training toolkits, fact sheets, letters, emails and other materials in support of program goals.
· Monitor and manage program budgets in collaboration with Programs and Outreach Director.
· Support the use of online organizing and reporting tools to support project goals.
· Produce reports as required to keep staff and Board of Directors informed of progress and activities.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· A minimum of 4 years of professional experience managing a multi-state or national project.
· Working within a federated or other affiliate model a plus.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent people skills.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and complete tasks within assigned time periods.
· Ability to produce high quality written materials and presentations.
· Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in work and take on projects to ensure seamless workflow and project delivery.
· Ability to administer and coordinate groups of individuals effectively through teamwork, delegation, conflict resolution, and coaching.
· Demonstrated experience developing and delivering high quality trainings.
· Ability to organize staff and/or volunteers.
· Customer service oriented and ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Expertise in Microsoft Office and Office 365 required.
· Experience with VAN, Salesforce, Salsa-Engage, website back-end systems, Zoom, OutreachCircle, and project management software a plus.
· Budget management and grant-reporting experience a plus.
· Fundraising experience a plus.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $75,000. We have a generous benefits package that includes 95 percent employer –sponsored health insurance, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation days, sick days, pre-tax transit benefits, and the opportunity to contribute to a 401(K) plan.
