RISK QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSOCIATE ANALYST
Description

In this role, you will have quality accountability in the area of risk management for some of the world’s largest organizations. In addition to ensuring that products and services meet FRG’s established quality standards, you will design and execute functional and non-functional tests. While functional tests validate code correctness, non-functional tests examine non-functional attributes such as performance, accessibility, usability, disaster recovery, compliance, etc.…). Your responsibilities will include contributing to the planning of processes to decrease the instance of defects in products, test planning, test case creation, positive and negative testing for optimal test coverage, defect detection and retesting, and regression testing. In this role you will:

  • Contribute and continue to learn as a junior member of the project team
  • Demonstrate understanding of fundamental testing concepts, principles, and techniques and their application throughout the project maturity lifecycle (Unit, System, System Integration, User Acceptance, Regression, Smoke, Performance, etc.)
  • Foster collaborative relationships with business and development teams
  • With supervision from a team leader:
  •           Read available assignment documentation to understand testing scope and requirement
  •           Design, develop and execute complex functional and non-functional test cases per established standards
  •           Participate in test case reviews
  •           Identify and report defects per established standards
  •           Prepare and generate test data
  •           Prepare and document test evidence
  •           Automate applicable tests
  •           Update / maintain test case repository
  • Pass all assigned certifications
  • Embrace challenges and learn new skills; be a catalyst for change
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Essential:

  • MS degree in the areas of Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, or Finance AND 0-2 years relevant experience OR BS degree PLUS a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and application of testing principles or willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology concepts a plus
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board certification(s) a plus
  • Familiarity with testing tools/software a plus
  • Strong written communication, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time as the business needs dictate
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and handle rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-changing environment (time management, flexibility)
