Our FX Well division operates 9 fitness facilities located throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area that are associated with Texas Health Resources. We have openings in the DFW. The person in this position hires and manages the personal trainers and group instructors at their location within a framework to position FX Well as the preferred choice for fitness services in the region. Works closely with both the location manager and the Regional Training Director to ensure we respond to the needs and requests of our members.


Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Collaborates on the hiring and onboarding of personal trainers and group class instructors for the assigned location;
  • Support the development and success of all the fitness service providers, including the growth of individuals’ client books and activities to support business growth;
  • Oversees and supervises the fitness staff members on a day-to-day basis, tracking performance against company KPIs and metrics and managing performance issues;
  • Collaborate with the senior management team, business development teammates, and other marketing staff to generate the best marketing possible for the services and location; and
  • Assist with fitness special events and post-event follow up, monitor & report issues with facility machines, and other similar activities.
Requirements

Minimum qualifications for the position include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as exercise science or kinesiology preferred, or comparable work experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a personal trainer or fitness instructor, including proven success in expanding your client base and effective strategies to consistently generate new leads through a variety of methods;
  • Minimum of 3 years effectively managing a team of fitness and wellness trainers and service providers including hiring, talent management, and oversight of contractor trainers to supplement as needed to meet business needs;
  • Great communication skills – written, verbal, and listening – paired with good emotional intelligence and positive interpersonal skills;
  • Must be a pro-active, solutions-oriented person who addresses problems and potential issues without hesitation, using good judgment and;
  • Works well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and must be comfortable receiving and incorporating feedback in a constructive manner;
  • Current national certification (NSCA, ASCM, NASM) strongly preferred, and you must be trained/certified in administration of CPR, AED, and First Aid; and
  • Good MS Office and general computer skills, plus experience with ABC Fitness Solutions software preferred but not required.
