At Baskervill (the “Company”), we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of job applicants' personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect and use your personal information throughout the hiring process.

 

Collection of your Personal Information

The Company collects personally identifiable information from candidate's job application, resume, recruiting platforms, and other documents/communications. This may include, but is not limited to your name, contact information, work experience, education, references, work authorization, and any other information you choose to provide. 

 

Sensitive Personal Information

To comply with requirements from the Department of Labor and other regulatory agencies, we may invite candidates to voluntarily self-identify their disability or veteran status. This information will not be used to influence hiring decisions.


Use of Personal Information

The information we collect will be used to evaluate your qualifications for employment, and to contact you regarding the status of your application. Depending on the stage of the hiring process, we may use this information to conduct criminal background and/or employment/reference checks from third parties.


How we share your information

The Company may disclose your personal information, without notice, only if obligated to do so or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of governing law or comply with legal process served on the Company or its facilities; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Company or the public (e.g.: an attempt of fraud or other criminal offenses).


We may also use and/or disclose your information in an aggregated or non-aggregated manner to conduct data analysis or recruiting and/or hiring practices audits, research, and in regulatory compliance reporting to governmental agencies. 


Data Retention

The Company will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. If you are not selected for a position, we may retain your information for a period of time to consider you for future openings.


Security

While we have implemented robust measures to address security risks, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. As such, we cannot provide for absolute protection of your information.

We may update this policy notice from time to time. Any change(s) will be posted on our website.


EU/USA Safe Harbor

Personal Information from employees who reside in or are citizens of countries within the European Union consent to the collection, storage, and processing of Personal Information in the United States or in any other country in which the Company maintains facilities. The Company does comply with the privacy principles of the Safe Harbor framework established by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union. If you believe your privacy may have been violated based on the principles contained in the Safe Harbor framework, please contact the Director of Human Resources in writing at careers@baskervill.com and provide a description of the possible violation. We will investigate and attempt to resolve any such violation. Any dispute between you and the Company regarding an alleged violation of the Safe Harbor principles will be resolved pursuant to the enforcement principle of the Safe Harbor framework through the American Arbitration Association, or the EU Data Protection Agency
