Sequel Wire and Cable LLC is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our employees and ensuring that any personal information we collect is handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
In the course of employment, we may collect, use, and maintain the following categories of personal information:
• Identifying Information: Name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, Social Security number
• Employment Details: Job title, department, supervisor, work schedule, pay rate, performance records
• Attendance and Time Records: Clock-in/out times, absences, tardiness, time-off requests
• Health and Benefits Information: Medical leave, workers’ compensation claims, insurance enrollment
• Security Monitoring: Badge access logs, video surveillance in common areas, IT system access logs
• Compliance Data: Safety training, certifications, disciplinary records
This information is collected through employment documents, timekeeping systems, benefits enrollment forms, and company systems and hardware.
Sequel Wire and Cable uses employee information for legitimate business purposes, including but not limited to:
• Payroll and benefits administration
• Safety and security monitoring
• Scheduling and attendance tracking
• Compliance with legal obligations
• Internal investigations or audits
• Communication and emergency contact
We do not sell employee personal information. Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
All employee data is stored securely and in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Physical files are stored in secured locations, and electronic records are protected through secure servers, encryption, and controlled system access.
Employees must not share sensitive company or coworker information without proper authorization. Any suspected data breach or misuse of personal information should be reported immediately to HR.
Employees may request to review the personal information we have on file, request corrections, or inquire about how it is used. In certain jurisdictions, additional rights may apply (e.g., the right to delete personal information or limit its use). Requests should be directed in writing to Human Resources.
Company-owned systems, devices, and networks are subject to monitoring for security, performance, and compliance purposes. Employees should have no expectation of privacy when using company equipment or accessing systems, including email and internet usage.
This privacy policy may be updated as legal requirements or business needs evolve. Employees will be notified of any significant changes.
